Jean Routhiau embarks on the adventure of a lifetime: with 2 others, he creates his eponymous business specialising in the manufacture of prepared poultry products (cold cuts). A sector that Jean Routhiau knows well as he acquired this expertise from his parents.
Faithful to the path marked out by its anticipation of key markets, JEAN ROUTHIAU launched a Confit Meat business and quickly became one of the sector’s specialists.
Both business and volumes increased with the tonnage at 2,100 a year at the time.
To meet this increase, the company began building a second production site (1,500m²) in Saint-Fulgent to make confits.
JEAN ROUTHIAU’s Charcutiers extended their expertise by developing the Stuffed Meat business.
JEAN ROUTHIAU turned towards Food services. At this time, the company was developing its Ready Meal business.
Two years later, JEAN ROUTHIAU bought a new production site in Saint-Fulgent, to pursue this flourishing business.
20 years after its beginnings, JEAN ROUTHIAU extended its expertise to intermediary food products and channels for distributing frozen products, designing and selling products adapted to these new customers.
Alain and Nicolas Routhiau took over General Management of the family business.
Beginning of the carpaccio business which made JEAN ROUTHIAU the pioneer of this range. It is still a benchmark for the entire profession thanks to its patented manufacturing process.
Creation of the company TENDANCE CRÉATIVE, a business specialising in canapés, starters and desserts, taking us back to the flavours of our childhood. The Brioche French toast made the company a benchmark reference thanks to its patented manufacturing process.
The chocolate mousse quickly earned a similar reputation.
SIMPLEMENT VÉGÉTAL was created with the development of a range of cooked vegetable dishes, complementing the expertise of JEAN ROUTHIAU and TENDANCE CRÉATIVE in the world of food.

The company “Les Trois d’Asie” joined the Routhiau Group. This fabulous small business specialises in the manufacture and sale of Asian food (Vietnamese, Laotian, Thai).
